Hey There!

Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet! For the past 16 years, blogging has been my passion—a place where I pour out my thoughts, share random musings, and chronicle my adventures as a self-growth enthusiast, avid traveler, and coffee lover. Writing is my therapy, and this blog is my sanctuary. I hope my words bring you a sense of connection and inspiration. So, grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s journey through life together. ♡

My Monthly Playlist | April

It's day 56,387 of MCO (at least it feels like it), and this is my first post sharing my music preferences. You see, MCO makes me share more about my current personal interests.

OK, now, let's talk about my music taste. While I do love occasionally listening to pop songs, I think I lie firmly in the 'house/chill/electro/ballad' fan section. I have a soft spot for 90s dance, RnB, and techno, though, and I firmly believe it was the best decade for that type of music; even though it can be tacky sometimes but I love it. Since I mostly listen to Korean songs, sometimes English and hardly Malay, I expect my playlist will be full of Korean songs.

1. LET'S LOVE | Suho
It's a modern rock genre song. Even though Suho is my least favorite member among EXO (don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Suho, I'm just a biased Exo-l), highlighting Suho's angelic voice, it is a heartwarming song and its soft and soothing melody made it even lovelier. And there is something that everyone can relate to this song.

2. CINTA LUAR BIASA | Andmesh Kamaleng
One of my all-time favorite songs, this song reminds me of when I was working in Johor last year before I quit. My cousins and I would always sing this song together in the car on our way back home, and all my tiredness went away. I guess I am just missing spending my time with my cousins back then.

3. LOVE ME NOW | NCT 127
With NCT 127 comeback last March, it is impossible to not include their song in my current playlist and among their 13 tracks, Love me now is my favorite. It's a soft pop song with balladic styling, which gives us breathy and refreshing vibes. If you want to mellow out and enjoy beautiful music, love me now is where's it at.

4. PLZ DON'T BE SAD | Highlight
It's an upbeat song and makes you want to listen to it from time to time. If you're looking for uplifting music, they're definitely for you. I don't think it's possible to listen to this song and not feel happy.

5. ORCHID | Rosie Carney
Since I'm recently into the Legacies series, I should include one of their soundtracks into my playlist. It's a sad song for hopelessly in love. There's this one scene where Alaric broke the heartbreaking secrets to his twin daughters. It is more painful to watch Alaric told his daughters he wished to break to them once the solution is found, but he couldn't.

"Ooh, I'm sorry for the things that I can't do for you"

6. SORI | Lee Suhyun
You know there is this deep feeling when you are watching Korean Drama, and after you finish it, you keep listening to its OST, and it makes you cry because you remember some of the scenes. Well, Mr. Sunshine did this to me.

4 of 6 of the tracks are Korean songs. Warned ya.
