I recently took a personality test at a job interview as part of the hiring process. I retook another personality test: the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality test out of curiosity, and at the end, it showed me my personality type: Introversion, Sensing, Feeling, Judging - or known as ISFJ. Can't accept the fact that I rely on feeling/empathy in making a decision, I retook another test. And the result was? The exact same thing. Except for this time, my number leaned even more towards feeling.  

But I just have to say that all these characters are on a spectrum, and for some characters, it is possible to be in the middle. I feel like I'm in the middle of being observant and intuitive, and judging and prospecting. So, it just depends and can change over time. Anyway, it was fun.  


Moving on to the fun part. Some characters who fit the ISFJ type are Jane Bennet from Pride and Prejudice and Captain America from Marvel Universe. I can totally relate to Jane Bennet, which is portrayed as a content person at home. I enjoy meeting with my friends on weekends or traveling with my family members, but I also don't get bored if I am stuck at home for months (my life, right now), and I find my bedroom is the place where I feel the most comfortable though it is not finely decorated. Jane Bennet's approach toward others is a little idealistic and naive though I disagree with the word naive. I'm not as innocent as Jane as she refuses to believe that others' intentions are anything but virtuous, even when it comes to Wickham. For me, I tend to have empathy and try to be understanding of people's behavior and decision.  

What can we say about Captain America? He's pretty much an all-around good guy. He is honest, loyal, and consistently dependable. He is the one who can lead all the complex personalities, strengths, and weaknesses of this diverse team which I think is a bit contradicting my character. I find myself often reluctant to take any leadership roles. I can be committed to doing my duty, but if I can avoid taking a leadership role, I'll avoid it as much as I can. Captain America is also portrayed as a loyal lover. He stays faithful to Peggy and only sets his eyes on her through these 70 years, which I also doubt I have this kind of loyal trait.
