Hey There!

Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet! For the past 16 years, blogging has been my passion—a place where I pour out my thoughts, share random musings, and chronicle my adventures as a self-growth enthusiast, avid traveler, and coffee lover. Writing is my therapy, and this blog is my sanctuary. I hope my words bring you a sense of connection and inspiration. So, grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s journey through life together. ♡

12 Things in March

I didn't know listing out 12 things to summarize your monthly recap could be this hard. It's basically a life update and a bit more personal post. Credit goes to Amber for this little blog series. I can't promise myself to do these consistently, but I think this is going to be intriguing to look back and see how much things have changed over time.

So, here we go,

MY 12 THINGS IN MARCH

  1. My family and I made a plan to go on a trip to Hanoi last March. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our travel due to the viral pandemic outbreak. Well, I'm sure our planned trip isn't as important as someone else's health.
  2. SPM result was out in early March and, my brother got straight A's, alhamdulillah to that. He's still unsure what course to pursue and is still considering electrical and mechanical engineering. When I first offered him my opinion, he asked me which course is easier to get a job in, and got stunned, I mean, he's just 18, and he's already worried about the job market?! Oh, brother, I wish I could tell you to just take whichever you'll enjoy the most.
  3. 3rd March is my youngest sister, Husna's birthday, and I actually had her birthday gift all prepared but got caught a day before her birthday. #Surpriseplanfailed.
  4. Nadiah treated our family for dinner to celebrate her first internship allowance, only to regret it the next second because the dinner cost two-thirds of her monthly allowance.
  5. I have been checking out Pandora's website for the last few months, and I finally caved in bought my personal customized bracelet. Finally, a new accessory for this upcoming Eid. Yay.
  6. I got my wisdom tooth extracted. I know I was late since it's better to get your wisdom tooth pulled as earlier as possible, ideally, at age 18-20. And I still owe the dentist one more check-up. Hopefully, it'll be the final check-up.
  7. Watched a Korean series, Mr. Sunshine. Well, I wasn't really into Japanese-invasion Korean drama, even though the casts are great since I thought it's weird to watch the Joseon era with a modern setting. But this third collaboration between the writer and director of Goblin and Descendent of the Sun is terrific and made me enjoy it. I rate 11.5/10 for this drama. And I still can't move on from the ending scene TT_TT
  8. As you grow older and life gets busier and gets harder to catch up and meet up with your friends, and that's how were my friends and me been the last few months. Since RMO began on 18 March, and my friends and I were almost dying of boredom, we decided to make a group video call. We basically didn't have any particular topic to discuss, we just sat there in front of the camera and did our own stuff and casually chit chat, and that's our 4 hours of video call. And I like it. ;)
  9. Finished reading Pride and Prejudice book and this is my favorite quote
"This was not the best method of recommending herself, but angry people are always not wise", -Pride and Prejudice.

This was when Miss Bingley realized that Mr. Darcy is silently adored Elizabeth, and she's like the typical jealous girl in any novel/drama, couldn't stand when someone better than her, talked ill of Elizabeth to Mr. Darcy and been nasty to her. But I could never understand her character. Instead of her intention of harming Elizabeth, she's hurting herself. She's didn't gain anything.
  10. Redecorating and reorganizing my room, especially my bookshelf and work desk. I did afew DIY projects for my room decorations, and I think I really did a good job. *pat head* Have you tried pressing dried flowers/leaves and framing them on the wall?
  11. Tried out Dr. Morita's face mask since I heard a lot of good reviews, but it made my skin irritated. I was pretty disappointed, but I guess it doesn't particularly work for my skin.
  12. Made waffle pancakes. I know there are a lot of recipes on the internet, but I think this recipe works the best so far. My sister even asked me to make her more.

  2. yes, especially if the flowers hold a special memory we can keep it as part of decorations instead of throw it away ;)

  3. I was planning on catching up with my friends by video-chatting too but I always end up procrastinating that. When there's nothing more to procrastinate I be procrastinating my social life which is almost non-existent during this pandemic

  4. Haha, social distancing can be lonely sometimes. Since nobody knows just how long this social distancing will last, so we all have to make the best of it we can. ^^

  5. Fortunately for us, we made it to Saigon just before the pandemic went bad and few weeks before RMO started. But yeah there were more important things to take account to rather than traveling.
Congratulations for your brother's amazing SPM result.
Been contemplating whether I should buy Eid stuff since my family will not be celebrating Eid anyway.
Bestnya ada kawan. I only have like 2 best friends and a few close friends but they are all busy with their own lives, we don't do video chat or anything *sob sob*
Been redecorating my room as well since I have zero things to do and my sister's skin is in the best condition after she used Dr Morita's face mask. But its's not for me too.
OMG WAFFLE PANCAKES! My two favourite food as one what the.. I need to try it asap.
