12 Things in March

Assalammualaikum and Hello everyone,

It's been eight months since I had last published a blog post. Like many of you, 2020 has been a tough year, and somewhere along the way, I forgot about this blog. Blogging wasn't something that I was looking forward to until I got an email I was due to renew my domain, and honestly, I contemplated a bit if I should stop blogging for a while. Thankfully, I decided not to. Now, after 8 months of breaks, I'm happy to report that I miss blogging and am ready to come back. It still feels strange to be getting back to the blog game. But since at this moment in time, my spirit to write comes back in spades after a long break, so here are my 12 Things in March. Let's go.

1. TV shows/Movies of the Month
   
   Legacies 3 - As a matter of fact, I've been waiting for season 3 to come out since last year, and, finally Legacies season 3 is back! I read somewhere that this series wasn't as good as the two preceding series, but I really don't mind. It is one of my current weekly escapes besides Running Man.
   Pride & Prejudice - I finished reading their novel just a year ago. Since then, I've been meaning to watch the movie version, but I always went for 'later-lah' and was not convinced if I would like it. And just a few days ago, I had the chance to watch it, and it's actually a game-changer. Now I regret every second of my life why I didn't watch it sooner. Pride and Prejudice is now officially on my list of movies that I can Watch Thousandth Times and Will Never Get Bored.


2. Confirmation of employee
   Alhamdulillah, I was offered a permanent position after 5 months of probation working in my new workplace. It was earlier than expected. The grind is starting to pay off.


3. Catching up with a friend
   I met up with a friend I knew from my internship, and it was lovely to catch up. Fify has been working near my place for a year and only recently had the chance to meet. We had brunch at DOS Cafe, and it was nice to chat about life, work and friends for hours as if it had only been a week since we had last hung out. I expected it would be awkward at first since we hadn't seen each other in three years, but it went well not as I thought it would be. And the food there was delicious, and the prices are affordable too in my opinion compared to other cafes out there. I rate them 8.5/10.

4. Driving achievement unlocked
   Going out with Fify also means that I have unlocked my driving achievement. Finally, I can drive alone with no one beside me. I obtained my driving license when I was 18, and it took me 7 years to finally drive alone??! Oh, please don't judge me. 


5. Husna's birthday
   13th of March was Husna's Birthday, and like any family ritual, we bought cake, birthday presents for her birthday. Ammar, who is currently in France also sending her birthday present.


6. Grandmother passed away
   On the 18th of February, my grandmother has passed away. May Allah place her among the righteous.


7. Room makeover
   I've been revamping my room for the past year. And now, I can proudly reveal my room. My room is my private space where I find comfort in it, and I don't mind spending on my room. It is now 80% done, and it took me almost a year to finally feel like it was finished, mainly due to budget. It isn't as pleasant as the others, but I love my room for now.
   
   

   


8. Impulsive buying
   I don't know what's gotten into me, but I've been spending a lot this month with no limits. And now I'm scared to track down my expenses.  


9. 5 Days off
   My workplace was temporarily closed for 5 days due to 4 staff diagnosed with COVID. And I was required to do a swab test as part of the procedure, a negative alhamdulillah. 5 days straight break without any plans besides binge-watching Youtube and Netflix. Who would hate it?


10. A year of COVID
    18th of March 2021 marked a year of MCO in our country. It had been the most challenging time for all of us, yet, today, we're here, still barely surviving. We have not won yet, but we surely can beat this! Stay adhere to SOPS, people.  


11. Super Junior comeback
    Super junior is finally making an official comeback I've been waiting for, and who makes music about a pandemic? A King. Super Junior never disappoints me. ;')


12. Feeling Better
    AThe past few months haven't been great for me, as I mentioned earlier. I struggled a lot, and no words can explain what I went through back then. It is not something I want to talk about. Long story short, I'm feeling better now. Not perfectly okay 'cause, you know, sometimes it sprung out of nowhere. But I'm sure I'm stable enough to get back to social media and blogging, at least. I visited a few blogs before I started writing this post, and you guys really inspire me. Keep writing and sharing, guys. <3
