Hey There!

Welcome to my cozy corner of the internet! For the past 16 years, blogging has been my passion—a place where I pour out my thoughts, share random musings, and chronicle my adventures as a self-growth enthusiast, avid traveler, and coffee lover. Writing is my therapy, and this blog is my sanctuary. I hope my words bring you a sense of connection and inspiration. So, grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s journey through life together. ♡

12 Things in September

Dental checkup, getting my second vaccination, NCT 127 comeback, and another productive month. These are a few of my favorite things this September.

I'm so ready for October, as things are finally getting back to normal here in Selangor. Looking forward to lots of amazing treats, seeing family and friends, and a coffee date in October. So, here's are my 12 things in September.
  1. What I've been watching...
Monte Carlo - Monte Carlo is finally on Netflix makes me feel undoubtedly aging. I remember watching this ten years ago. Revisiting this piece again to refresh my memory's such a charming movie.
Lovers of Red Sky - Watching this new drama because I love Song Won-suk and Ahn Hyo Seop, who played twins in My Father is Strange. They finally got back together in this new project. Looking forward to more of their chemistry.
House on Wheels: For Rent - Another healing show. I love all the casts, especially Han Hyo Joo, not to forget the other famous actors of Pirates. I love them all and see no reason to not watch it.
  2. Spend-less month: an epic failure | I went on a failed attempt at a spending ban. Bagged myself with two NCT albums, one new CD player, a smartwatch, and a cute pink journal, what a treat! Going to try it again in October.
  3. Second vaccination success |Alhamdulillah, I'm now fully vaccinated and currently undergoing 14 days of quarantine. I didn't have any side effects the second time round. Both of my parents had completed their vaccine too!
  4. NCT 127 comeback | My boyband, NCT 127, finally released their new album - Sticker, this year. Magic Carpet Ride and Road Trip are some of my favorite songs!
  5. Another productive month | Last month was yet another productive month for me. In the morning, I usually spent my time working out and reading before starting my work, and later at night, it was up to me to pass it however I liked. Weekends morning were my favorite as I got out of my house and jogged around my residential area. Having this sort of productiveness made me so proud of myself, and I really hope I can continue this routine as time goes. It won't be easy, but we shall see.
  6. What I read in September | September was another strong reading month for me, and I see that I lean more on poetry. If I can keep my pace for the next three months, I guess it's not impossible to achieve my target by the end of the year. So, here's a quick list of
    - Wisdom of Sunday by Oprah Winfrey
    - Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
    - The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran
    - I love too quietly by Noor Iskandar
  7. Jogging |  I got into a healthy routine of going out jogging every weekend. After so many months at home, it felt even better to go around, enjoy the green view and reconnect to nature.
  8. Decluttering phone's and laptop's storage | It was well overdue, and finally, I can tick this off my list. I've meant to declutter my gadget but have always been busy with my daily routine. So I sat down one evening, deleted all unnecessary photos, videos and files from my phone and laptop, and sorted them all. It's refreshing to finally clear out my camera roll and have more storage space.
  9. Revamping my blog |  I guess it's time to polish my blog and give it a breath of fresh air. I've been taking a lot more photos this month and updating my blog with new fresh photos - thankfully, I have only 40 posts published. I admit I'm still lacking in photography. I suppose stock photos might be a better option, but doesn't it feel more personal when you have your own photos on your blog? And when you can finally say - all photos are mine unless stated otherwise.
  10. Dental checkup | Actually, I was a month past due for my semi-annual dental checkup. Thankfully, nothing needed doing, and everything was all good.
  11. Second IG account | So, I'm planning to start a second Instagram account just for hobbies alongside improving my photography skills since I feel pretty insecure about sharing them on my personal account. But I still can't think of a name. How do you guys come out with those cool usernames, though?
  12. Making gratitude a daily habit | I picked up this new practice upon reading The Wisdom of Sunday, which lists at least three things I am grateful for before going to bed, and they have to be new every day. I started practicing this as soon as I learned that it helped me keep my sense of perspective. Honestly, I haven't done this consistently, but for someone who's born with genes for pessimism and has been living with pessimism for two decades of her life, I guess it's time to trump her genes.
So, how was your September? Hope you had a lovely September and that October brings you a lot of joy!
